Types of Motors:
There are different types of motors. Classification can be done in two ways
- Convectional Motors: Include Induction Motors, Synchronous Motors, DC Motors.
- Modern or Special Motors: Include Brushless DC Motors, Switched reluctance motors and Axial Flux motors.
Brushless DC motors for E-bike applications
There are two types of motors:
- HUB Motors: Outside rotor motor and directly connected to the wheel of the E-bike. The speed of the motor directly reflects the speed of the bike.
- GEARED Motors: Inside rotor motor and connected to the wheel using the Gear reducer.
