Edison semiconductors pvt ltd, an Singapore based company forayed into electric bike drive train manufacturing. It has already setup the BLDC Hub motor and controller plant in Sulur, Coimbatore and running the pilot batch. The infrastructure is sufficient for making 10,000 motors and controllers per month. This is a first kind of setup of this kind. This investment is done keeping an eye on future of EV market in India and issues electric bike manufacturers are facing while importing the electric bike components.
